Canadian Smart Docks, a subsidiary of Circle Dynamics, Inc was formed in 2013 after its founder, Jim Doyle, decided to replace his old dock at the cottage with something much more simple, yet durable. He found that it was a challenge to recruit 3 or 4 people twice a year and the lake was usually frigid in the spring and fall. He wanted a system that could be put in and taken out by himself without getting suited up in his waders. He soon discovered that there was an incredible demand for a dock system that was simple to install and remove seasonally.
